Hello Everyone and a Happy New Year. New Years day morning and I went to the beach to welcome the New Year in. In Japan the Japanese people like to see the first sun of the New Year. I live on the East coast and we go down to the beach ( Pacific ) with many other people but only one MZ.

We traveled to the mountains and although cold there was no snow but what we didn't know was that was about to change.




















We camped for two nights and on the second night it snowed. We were in a very remote place and a little concerned about returning to the main roads. However by 10am the sun had appeared and we had a safe but interesting ride home.

Yes I am Tony san from Japan. I am originally from England but have lived in Japan for almost eight years.
I found my first MZ in Japan on Yahoo Auctions.



But now I ride a solo ETZ250



This is the bike I hope to ride from Japan to England in 2012. Anyone with a two stroke MZ is welcome to join me. I am also conducting a two week tour of Japan before crossing Russia.

I never saw the ETS, there are none in Croatia.
We love older models, mostly ES, and EZT 250/251. Two stroke rulles.

I watched your photos too and I noticed that you have older and smaller MZ bikes for example a lot of ts, es, 125-150-175 ccm.
Most of us use ETZ 250 or 251, but some friends have ETS, ES, TS too..

We also meet in winter too just for a beer or swimming.

and now, technically part of the question. Our forum is quite strong as far as mechanics, electricity and any other topics related to MZ. The only problem is the poor quality parts, but I see that we will solve it together.

I watched a little the photos on your forum, I see that you are traveling often and in larger groups of MZ-riders. In Croatia there is not much MZ but those who drive them, drive them with pride! We arange meetings once a year, but once a mounth we hang out with a beer and talks about MZ. Of course, not talking only about the MZ, but most often it is the issue.

Recently appears many young people who have restored those forgotten machines and return them to the road. I try to help them as much as I can, but it seems that I have forgot to much material over time, so noe I feel like I'm back in school once again...

I travel to Hungary to buy parts for MZ. Here it is we can find them in stores, only resellers who charge expensive. And in addition to my motorcycle and I have maintained, repaired a lot of other motorcycles, mostly MZ. In recent years MZs is less on our roads so I do not work on them anymore. But love for MZ is not extinguished through all this years. I noticed the difference between Hungary and 5 years ago today. Unfortunately, it seems to me that change is not for the better. Yes, the parts of MZ quality decreased and costs increased. Write a list to forum what you would like to buy, and we will try to purchase from store or second hand. Use those part number in our books, please!

We sometimes have a problem to get parts for our bikes, in Croatia there's no spare part dealer so we often travel to Hungary to buy them. mostly in Nagykanizsa. There's store called Arkus Atila in Petofy st.but lately replacement parts are often low quality, there is no original parts from Germany.

Mz I ride for 15 yars now and still inspires me every time I drive it.
